Rappel down cascading waterfalls, swim in crystal-clear pools, and jump into pristine jungle rivers surrounded by lush, untouched rainforest. It’s like stepping into a tropical version of The Shire — where every turn reveals something wild and beautiful.

Your journey begins with a scenic drive through the Costa Rican countryside, followed by a full safety briefing from our expert guides. Then, conquer a series of rappels and jumps — from 1 to 32 meters — all in a stunning private rainforest setting.

After the adventure, return to Pure Trek Basecamp for a well-earned Costa Rican lunch, tropical smoothies, and our famous coffee.

Exclusive access to a private rainforest canyon with stunning waterfalls and emerald pools.

A thrilling 32-meter waterfall rappel, plus multiple rappels throughout the canyon.

Optional river jumps ranging from 1 to 10 meters (3 to 33 feet) — choose your level of adventure.

Rainforest Falls – Frequently Asked Questions

Is this tour safe? Yes. Every Rainforest Falls tour is led by certified bilingual guides and accompanied by a professional photographer and safety team. All equipment is provided and inspected regularly, and guide-to-guest ratios are adjusted to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
Do I need to be physically fit? A moderate fitness level is enough. You’ll hike rainforest trails, climb a metal ladder, rappel waterfalls, and optionally jump into natural pools. Guests should be comfortable with uneven terrain and light activity.
Will I get wet? Yes — expect to get wet during rappels, natural-pool crossings, and optional jumps. It’s part of the fun!
Are the jumps mandatory? No. All jumps—up to 4 different heights—are completely optional. You can enjoy the full tour without jumping and simply enjoy the natural pools and views.
What are the age and tour restrictions?
- Minimum age: 8 years old
- For safety reasons, pregnant guests and those who have had recent surgeries (within 6 months) cannot participate
Do you provide towels? Yes, clean towels are available at after the tour.
What should I bring? Wear Quick-dry clothing, Sturdy shoes with good traction (that can get wet)
- Bring: A change of clothes for after the tour. Optional: sunscreen and insect repellent. All technical equipment is provided.
Is transportation included? Yes. Pick-up and drop-off from La Fortuna hotels in Zone 1 are included. Transportation outside Zone 1 may include an additional fee.
